CATCHING UP WITH MARC SINGER

Back on February 28^th, The Calgary Herald profiled original “V” actor Marc Singer, who played Mike Donovan. Reflecting on that role, he said, “My character was a videotape, new journalist created to be the eyes and ears of the audience. He could take us places and his natural sense of curiosity made him a detective. In that role he unmasked the true intentions of the aliens and the underpinnings of the destruction of society that they intended.”
   Roles on the TV version of Beastmaster and numerous other series followed. Asked what he’s up to now, Singer said, “I teach masters classes in Shakespeare at various universities and institutes around the nation. I had [also] been painting impressionistically and somewhat realistically and then one day I began this image and it began to take on a life of its own. Other than that, I live the regular domestic life. I’ll be skiing and if you catch me at the beach, we’ll roast a hotdog.”
